One workflow from model to auditable report

SolaMaxa is one platform, not a bundle of tools. A canonical building model carries every decision forward — so the geometry you screen at feasibility is the same geometry the procurement package and the report refer to. Nothing is re-keyed, and every number stays contestable.

One canonical model

The building model every stage agrees on

Project → Building → Surface → Zone → Module Array. Whatever the source — an IFC model, a reconstructed drawing set, or structured project data — SolaMaxa normalises it into one spatial model that screening, detailed analysis, design, products and reporting all read from. Selection is URL-addressable, so reviews start exactly where the question is.

Analyses carry provenance: resource source, shading provider, geometry context and product snapshots are recorded with every result.

Why one model matters

Replace the handoff chain, keep the disciplines

Architects, façade consultants, engineers and procurement still bring their own judgement. What changes is that they all work from the same model, with the same visible assumptions — instead of re-keying geometry into a chain of tools.

Without an integrated workflow

  1. Architectural model (BIM / IFC)
  2. Specialist solar tools — often rooftop-only
  3. Spreadsheets — re-keying geometry and orientation
  4. Product websites and datasheets
  5. Certification and fire documents, collected by hand
  6. Supplier email threads
  7. RFQ comparison spreadsheets
  8. Financial model rebuilt per project
  9. Report assembled manually
  10. BIM re-entry, without provenance

Each handoff re-keys data and loses context. Assumptions end up scattered across files nobody can fully reconstruct later.

With SolaMaxa

  1. Screen
  2. Analyse
  3. Design
  4. Specify
  5. Source
  6. Assure

One canonical building model carries every decision forward — the analysis, the products, the procurement package and the report all read from it.

Starting points

Where teams begin

A BIM model

IFC ingestion builds the canonical envelope directly — surfaces, orientations and storeys from your architecture, with georeferencing handled.

Drawings

No model yet? Calibrated, explainable reconstruction from PDF or image drawings creates the canonical envelope — the dominant case in early-stage screening.

A portfolio question

Start at the estate: screen every building on a comparable basis and let the ranking decide which envelopes deserve detailed study first.

See it on a building you know

Walk the workflow on your own project.

We'll run the six stages against a building or portfolio you know — including which assumptions move the results and where the model should be challenged.

SolaMaxa is pre-beta. We are currently selecting the first architectural, BIPV, engineering and property teams.
